About Goldfield Telecom
Goldfield Telecom began in 1993 as a small company in Iowa buying and selling digital switching equipment on the secondary market, comprised mainly of Independent Telephone Companies in the Midwest. With the "dot com" crash of the late 1990's, came a tsunami of used switching equipment which effectively collapsed the used equipment market and changed Goldfield’s business plan.
At first, a handful of Access and DSL Manufacturers provided us with new products to sell, and slowly Goldfield Telecom, the Telecommunications Distributor, took shape and grew. What then were a few Vendors now are many, giving us a broad range of technologies and products available to a customer mix of: ILEC's, CLEC's, Government/Education, Wireless Carriers, ISP’s and Enterprise businesses. Not only is Goldfield Telecom a recognized leader in the distribution of telecommunication equipment, we also provide installation services, technical/engineering support, and custom integration of outside plant enclosures.
