The EtherLoop Enabled BitStorm 2400 Stackable IP DSLAM uses Ethernet as its technology foundation. EtherLoop - "Ethernet in the local loop" - is a technology that combines the high speed, IP native, standardized qualities of Ethernet with the capabilities of conventional DSL. Like conventional xDSL, EtherLoop can line share with existing POTS over ordinary copper lines, is always on, and offers a point-to-point dedicated secure connection. EtherLoop's IP-native, burst-mode technology delivers longer reach, higher bandwidth, and greater stability. The compact environmentally hardened BitStorm 2400 is the ideal solution for deployment in the central office as well as small spaces such as wiring closets or remote cabinets.

EtherLoop is "broadband that works" because it is easy to deploy and operate with very little loop engineering effort. The technology works very well in the presence of loop impairments such as bridged taps, wire gauge changes and impulse noise.
