Goldfield  Telecom is offering a new product by Innoband, 200P-I1, on special for the months of April, May and June. 

Just plug the Innoband Home Plug AV 200P-I1 into any wall power socket, connect a network cable, and data signals are automatically transmitted through the power lines.  The 200P-I1 can be used to bridge Ethernet devices such as modems, routers, PCs, set-top-boxes, and games consoles, enabling users to share network access via existing in-home power lines.  Once plugged into an Ethernet port on a router, the 200P-I1 allows people elsewhere in the house to share Internet access by using computers connected with a Home Plug compliant Power line network adapter.  Compliant with the latest Home Plug AV standards which support data speeds of up to 200Mbps, the 200P-I1 delivers the super-fast connectivity needed for High Definition home networks, enabling users to easily set up a data network accessible through a power socket and share bandwidth-consuming applications such as online games, IPTV and video-on-demand with family or friends all around the house.

Goldfield Telecom would like to introduce two new additions to our team, Kevin Robinson and Mike Loecker. 

Kevin Robinson recently joined Goldfeild Telecom as Sales Engineer from Alloptic where he spent nearly four years as an Account Manager and Sales Engineer. Prior to Alloptic Kevin serves as a Network Engineer for Hutchinson Telephone.  Kevin's early background is in Ethernet and IP Network Engineering where he has worked for a variety of equipment manufacturers inclduing Ericsson, Datacom, Occam Networks and Znyx Networks. 

Mike Loecker recently joined Goldfield Telecom as a Regional Sales manager for Kansas, Colorado, and parts of Iowa and Nebraska.  Mike lives in Lawrence Kansas with his wife and two boys,  ages 6 and 16.  He was born in Yankton, South Dakota where his parents still reside.  Mr. Loecker has worked in the telecom industry for several years, last at Optical Solutions.  MIke was at Calix for seven years, and one year with Cyan Optics.

Goldfield Telecom’s, Jason Beisel, was awarded Brocades IP Account Manager of the Year 2008.  Brocade announced the winners of its third annual Partner Awards Program at their Brocade Partner Summit held April 5 - 8 in Las Vegas, NV.  Eighteen worldwide distribution and reseller partners were recognized for their exceptional performance in delivering Brocade-based solutions and services in 2008.   Jason is the Vice President of Sales and Midwest Regional Sales Director for Goldfield and covers NW Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota.  Congratulations Jason!

Goldfield Telecom  announced today; that they along with Occam Networks will be working with Mountain Telephone of West Liberty Kentucky as the lead access equipment provider to provide Phone and DSL service to it’s subscribers.

Goldfield Telecom will be providing Occam Networks equipment to expand current voice DSL and future video services throughout Mountain Telephone’s exchanges.

Goldfield Telecom is providing Mountain Telephone with Occam Network’s 10Gig transport cards along with Occam Network’s copper combo cards to build the infrastructure to allow for IPTV in the future. This deployment is in phase three out of four of Mountain Telephone’s overall strategy to provide advanced services to its subscribers.
